Overview of Device and Procedural Evolution

nContact is a study in how to develop technology and new approaches to answer the limitations of the past. Its short but rich history, is an example of learning and adapting to physician experiences to constantly evolve technology to enable improved procedures.

nContact was founded in 2005 and its mission has been to evolve a new standard of care for atrial fibrillation. Over the past years, the Company’s technology has allowed physicians to develop and evolve three distinct procedures; open chest concomitant surgical, minimally invasive surgical (SUBTLE™ access plus right side chest ports) and the Convergent Procedure (surgical SUBTLE™ access plus EP endocardial ablation and diagnostics). The next evolution will be a “Standardized” Convergent Procedure based on data and consensus protocols  developed by both disciplines. Each procedural stage has provided the knowledge and understanding to further evolve care into a simpler, less complex approach. The following chart attempts to describe the Convergent Procedure evolution and the knowledge gained from each step of development.
